Land Transportation

The municipality is traversed by the national road that weaves through the province. The national highway which cuts across Pinamalayan stretches all the way from Calapan City in the north to the southern coastal Municipality of Bulalacao.  The total road network in Pinamalayan is estimated at 240.3916 kilometers.  This results to an over-all road density of 0.0040 kilometer/hectare. The road network consists of national, provincial, municipal and barangay roads.  Of this figure, 5.10% is covered by the national road, almost four-tenths (39.13%) are provincial roads, two-tenths (5.6%) municipal roads, 41 percent are barangay roads and 9 percent is irrigation roads.

Power Supply

Electric power is supplied by the Oriental Mindoro Electric Cooperative (ORMECO), a privately run cooperative under the supervision of the National Electrification Administration. ORMECO has a dependable capacity of 29.7 megawatts (MW). A land-based 7.5 MW Power Plant of the Global Business Holdings operates in Barangay Papandayan which serves as power source. The establishment of the said inland power plant augments the power supply in the 37 Barangays of Pinamalayan and other neighboring municipalities. Pinamalayan has a total of 15,234 household connections as of December 31, 2012.

Water Supply

Household water supply mainly comes from deep and shallow well as well as springs.  Level III water supply is on the other hand, made available in 13 barangays by Pinamalayan Water District. Barangays served by Level III water supply include the following: Zones I – IV, Cacawan, Guinhawa, Lumangbayan, Marfrancisco, Sta. Isabel, Sta Rita, Wawa, Panggulayan, Palayan and Nabuslot. Level II water supply with 8 water distribution systems operated by the barangays. Barangays served by level II water supply, on the other hand, include the following: Buli, Banilad, Marayos, Pili, Sabang, Ranzo and Quinabigan. Communication Services

Presently, Calapan Telephone System Incorporated (CATSI), Globelines and DOTC provide communication facilities services in the municipality.  PLDT telephone station is available in the poblacion. In terms of cellular services, Smart Communication, Globelines and Suncellular service the municipality. Internet Cafe's can also be found in the poblacion and adjacent barangays.
