From the Table 50, the prevailing type of housing units used were single house with 18,706; 363 were duplex type;160 were apartment; and the remaining 45 were commercial/industrial/agricultural building. More than 97 percent of the total population were residing in a single housing unit type.

From the data gathered from 2014 CBMS 2nd Round Survey, majority of the housing units were built of strong materials both for roofing (13,000) and for outer walls (10,668). However, there were also notable number of houses that made with light materials and salvaged/makeshift materials both roof and walls that needed an upgrade for the safety of families residing in from unexpected natural calamities (refer to Table 51).

 Table 52 demonstrates the total of 953 households (5 percent) living in makeshift housingin the municipality. Barangay Zone II has the topmost figure of 133 while Barangay Malaya has the highest proportion of households living in makeshift housing with 32.93 percent(refer to Figure 21).
